Following the sanctions imposed on Russia for its invasion to Ukraine, Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer have suspended parts, maintenance, and technical support services for Russian airlines.

Airbus has suspended support services to Russian airlines, as well as the supply of spare parts to the country,” Airbus said in a statement.

Boeing closed its office in Kyiv and has suspended “parts, maintenance, and technical support services for Russian airlines,” the company said in a statement.

Russia’s airlines have a total of 332 Boeing and 304 Airbus jets, amounting to about two-thirds of Russia’s fleet.

The country also has 62 planes on order between Boeing and Airbus.

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer also joins Airbus and Being in stopping support for Russian airlines in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

S7, which is said to be Russia’s second-largest airline, utilises 17 Embraer 170 models on domestic routes.

Embraer has been cooperating, and will continue to comply, with international sanctions placed on Russia and some regions of Ukraine by withholding parts, maintenance, and technical support services for clients affected by sanctions,” Embraer said.
